Verizon has dicked me over for the last time.

Post by Lago PARANOIA »

After getting a ridiculous phone bill after one of their service plan upgrayddes, I've just had it. I'm paying the bill, paying the cancellation fee, and terminating my plan by the end of this week.

Only problem is, I have some of the Verizon devices accumulated over the years (like the Android Thunderbolt) that are going to become dead weight. Anything I can do to make them actually worth something with a new service plan? Also, if anyone can recommend a provider that doesn't such that would be smooches.

Your freedom to add and change rules in the middle of the game is in direct conflict with my ability to understand that rules system before I decided whether or not to join your game.

In short, your entire post is dismissive of not merely my intelligence, but my agency. And I don't mean agency as a player within one of your games, I mean my agency as a person. You do not want me to be informed when I make the fundamental decisions of deciding whether to join your game or buying your rules system.

Suck how?

I love T-Mobile, except that they have coverage issues.
Sprint has dicked me over so many times, I'd rather sit naked on an ant-hill.

Try Ting. They're a MVNO that use's Sprint's network (but not business practices). Reasonable rates, and supposedly no overage charges just "Oh, you used more minutes/texts/data than your plan? Ok, this month, you pay for level your use fit into" (and the same for less, and the difference is a few bucks).

You could try selling your verizon devices on ebay or the like. All else fails, pawn 'em.

As for the cancellation fee, check your contract, their may be a clause where a change in service allows you to quit your contract with no fee, but do it quickly, because it may be a limited thing.
This may help.
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

Sprint (or Ting, according to Prak) is your best bet if you're going for the smoothest transition away from Verizon. Sprint and Verizon are the only CDMA carriers (everyone else is GSM). So you should be able to use your devices on Sprint after jailbreaking them.
